It is now Friday morning, about 44 hours after surgery and I am in front of my computer for the first time. Things look pretty normal so far. I woke this morning with a slight scratchiness in my left eye which has since subsided somewhat. I drove in to work and my sight was fine, in fact for the most part it is like having a pair of brand new lenses, crystal clear and everything in incredible detail. The fogginess comes and goes with the drops, and I assume it will be a few more days until I completely lose the fogginess since it is attributed to the inflammation so I am told. I am still putting steroid drops in every hour as i was told to yesterday and I will update you when I get back from my 10am appt.

Well, apparently I still have swollen eyeballs and the Optometrist told me to keep with the steroids for today and Saturday every hour and then every 2 hours on Sunday. She also told me to stay indoors if I can, which may throw a curve into our plans to attend a wedding and a wedding shower this weekend, especially since it is our wedding shower. In any event, I will be keeping my eyes out of trouble as much as I can which will include not being anywhere near exploding eggs, which is a favourite event at the family reunion scheduled for Sunday. Broken eggshells and corneal flaps don’t mix well I would guess…
